When they heard that there were relics in the ashes of the old monk,

they all ran over, scrambling to grab a handful of the ashes and then ran to a secluded place in the mountains,

because the government situation at that time did not allow it to be said that there were relics.

This is the case for dozens of people.

Some have several relics in a handful of ashes, and some have just one or two in them.

They vary in size and color, with the majority being white and crystal clear.

Therefore, it is impossible to count how many relics are in the ashes of the old monk.

過一會兒，救火的人陸續回來，聽說老和尚的骨灰裡有舍利，紛紛跑來，爭著向內抓一把骨灰然後往山中僻靜處跑，

因為當時政府的形勢並不允許說有舍利子。

幾十人都是如此，有的一把骨灰裡面有好幾顆舍利，少的也有一兩粒，大小不等，顏色不一，以白色晶瑩者為多。

所以老和尚的骨灰裡有多少舍利子，根本無法統計。

Among them, Master Huitong picked up a relic, which was larger than his thumb and as clear as crystal.

He later gave it to Master Haideng, who came from afar after hearing the news.

I heard that Master Haideng sent the relics to Tiantai Mountain in Zhejiang.

At that time, there was a master named Da Ding who was planting vegetables in the vegetable garden and only learned the news later.

When he arrived, he could only find a bone.

He took the bones back to the vegetable garden and broke them into pieces.

He found a blood-red relic as big as a red bean inside and a small one stuck to the bones.

數十人打火回來後都是如此輪搶，

方丈性福和尚不得已，就叫慧通師和自修師幾個人，把那些骨灰過篩，又篩出了很多舍利子。

其中慧通師揀到一粒舍利，比大拇指還大，像水晶般晶瑩剔透，後來送給了聞訊遠地趕來的海燈法師。

聽說海燈法師把舍利子送到浙江天台山去了。

當時，有一位達定師，因在菜園裡種菜，後來才得知消息。

當他去到時，只能拾到一塊骨頭。他便把骨頭帶回菜園裡敲碎，發現裡面有一顆紅豆般大的血紅色的舍利，還有一顆小的，黏在骨頭上面。
